Over the last couple of days I’ve been receiving hundreds and hundreds of emails with people loving the case study interviews! We’re going to be posting more very soon over the next couple of days and weeks, as promised. :)This is a great success story interview with Cynthia. Here’s some blips of what she talks about in the quick, 14 minute interview…
“I saw people on all kinds of medication be completely off of them within 21 days. And the color that people get in their face, the glow in their eyes, just sparkle! Once you get to that point you don’t want to go back.”
Here’s what she said about the raw food lifestyle…
“I totally think it’s the way to go!”
Please let me know what you thought about the interview. I LOVE hearing such great feedback!
Have a beautiful day!

Hi. I think it´s great things you are doing, I´ve been raw for 3 1/2 year. I´d love the video with Ann Wigmore. Thank you so much.

Since you asked for feedback, first I want you to know that I’ve really enjoyed listening to the success stories. I guess what I want is more details. Like ask them exactly what they eat - like what is a typical day. I enjoyed hearing Cythia’s breakfast, but like what does she use as greens? Also, where are they getting their recipes from? Just ideas like that. Thanks for all your work! Gwen

Great story. I am wondering if Cynthia ran another marathon and how she felt? I am now 37 and preparing to run my 5th half marathon. I would like to try a full marathon. I am always looking for ideas to help with my running/energy/health. I also like the idea of taking baby steps that she brings into the concept of raw foods because there are others who say you have to be 100% raw or you will fail, even one bite! I think the only failures are the ones who give up, so it was nice to hear someone say just get back to it if you slip up once in a while. I agree wholeheartedly not to look at this as a diet (anything with the word “die” in it should be a red flag), but a lifestyle.

I am interested in switching to a raw foods way of life. I have listened to a lot of people talk about detoxing first and feel this would be a step I need to take also. Can you tell me how to detox the liver and other areas of the body?
Thanks,
Jill Neustupa

Thank you. Any information about going raw is a blessing. I am learning so much and still have a long way to go. Thank you for being so giving. I just keep putting one foot in front of the other. I want to know is juicing of more benefit that making smoothies? I am a cancer patient and have been told not to do the sweet fruits. This is even more limiting. Any suggestions on tasty receipts?

Thank you all for your kind words. I really was hesitant to even do the inteview as I really would love to be 100% raw but have struggled along the way but Jim said that was OK as others may like to now how a beginner starts out. If I did all or nothing, which I have tried, then it becomes a diet to me and I feel deprived and try to get my last “supper” in the way I used to before I went on a diet.
So for ME, this was not a good approach. However, I do not see how anyone can go wrong trying to improve their diet just a little bit. I mean some greens are better than no greens. What I have for breakfast is wheatgrass but lately I have gotten tired of it so I throw it into the vita mix along with my morning juice and this way you get all of the fiber too. What I really like and what helps keep the system flowing is a product called “Natures First Food”. It is a 100% raw green drink and it is easy to travel with as it is in a glass jar.
It is full of probiotics and all kinds of good things. I find drinking this first thing in the morning really helps with the sugar cravings. I would love to say that I have the same diet each day, but I do not. I am single and travel alot but when I am on a schedule, I try to have a green drink in the morning, fruit salad at lunch, and a big salad at dinner. I sometimes steam my veggies as I feel like I need Insoluable fiber and some veggies are not good raw if you know what I mean. My new thing is steaming them in garlic and water.
As far as fruit for Candida and Cancer, etc. I want to first say, that I am not an expert in the field and not offering advice however, I know there are 2 schools of thought on this issue. I think the Wigmore program would tell you to eat more greens and limit sweet fruits and they tend to eat more fats like avacodos. Now if you look up Doug Graham, he will tell you to eat more fruit and less of the raw fats such as raw nuts, avacodos, etc. His theory is that the fat in the blood causes the candida and he can explain it much better but the trouble is when you combine high fruit and high fat even if it is raw fat. I am seen people heal from disease choosing one school or the other but i would guess the problem would lie combining both. Candida is in everyones body but when it gets out of balance is when a problem arises. As far as running a marathon now, wow, I wish I knew then what I know now.
Again, if you google Doug Graham, he has a website and trains many athlets and they follow a high fruit diet. It is a bit extreme for me but it obviously has helped many. I am still dealing with a side effect from taking Cipro many years ago, that has effected my nerves and I got injured at the mayo Clinic during a test that they perfomed which has caused more nerve problems.
Because of this, I have not been able to do the exercise or run like I used too. The sad part about this, is that I actually had a psoas strain and the nerves to the bladder go over that muscle and can make it seem like you have a bladder infection as you have to urinate alot, so the doctor pretty much said that I had to take an antibiotic, since he thought it was a bladder infection, or I could get a very serious infection. When a basic antibiotic did not work, obviously, because I did not have a bladder infection, he put me on Cipro which is what they put people on who have been exposed to antrax.
It put my whole body into a spasm and I am still dealing with the side effects of Cipro almost 4 years later. Cipro is a broad spectrum antibiotic therefore clears out all of the bacteria, good and bad which really weakens the immune system. So, this is why I have not run a marathon but if I were, I would know what to do much better now than I did before. During my first marathon, I felt great, I was not raw, but certainly new training for my 2nd one, that my energy was low. I mean making it into the shower for work in the morning after 13 hours of sleep was difficult.
I developed Candida during the training because I had a sore knee and was taking high doses of anti inflammtion drugs. I mean so of the ones you get over the counter and take for headaches. This is why I have swon off medication as it may fix one problem, but it will most likely cause another one. The body will heal but we must get out of the way so it can do so. In our society, we are looking for instant fix, and the body is like an open score when it is sick, and like an open sore, it needs time to heal.
That is why good nutrition is important, because it provides the right nutrients that aid in the bodies healing process. Taking medication supresses the symptom and then down the line it will come out as a more serious disease. The best thing to do when we are sick, is to fast, and let the body heal and not take up the energy in digestion and use that energy to heal the body. I did not realize that they were posting both of my pictures above, but the top right one of me eating fruit, is my first bite of fruit after fasting 17 days on water. I felt amazing. Look at the color in my face. Does that look like a starving person? My fat was considered a short fast as all others who were attending the retreat fasted a min. of 21 days. Now the picture to the left, is taken during my 10 day course where I met Jim Carey at the Living Foods Institute and leared about Ann Wigmore’s teachings.
Wow, I did not mean to write all of this. By the way, I am 43 years old and I do think this diet along with fasting can slow down the aging process. I love to tell people my age because man guess that I am in my early 30’s. Anyway, thank for all of your support regarding my interview. It is inspiring for me to practice more of what I preach as I as many of you know what is right, but recovering from habbits and addictions of various kinds is the challenge.
Many Blessings to you all!
Cynthia
ps..I am not going to re read all of what I have written so forgive me if there are alot of mis spelled words or typos!
